Designer destination:Four Seasons Resort Orlando

Florida's Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World sets the standard for luxury.

Just three months after opening in August 2014, the 443-room Four Seasons Resort Orlando became the city's first and only hotel to scoop America's coveted Five Diamond Award under the AAA rating system.

Signature style
The resort is impressive from the moment you drive into the gated Golden Oak community of homes on Disney parkland, up the palm tree-lined driveway beside 26 acres of golf course and the wetlands towards the entrance.

The colonnades, grand sweeping stairways and covered terraces are a fresh take on the work of Twenties-era US architect Addison Mizner, and the Spanish Colonial Revival style.

Adults-only: the adults-only pool is another design gem, where you are served frozen grapes or an Evian spritz every hour on the hour

Insider tip
Book one of the Park View Rooms to enjoy the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks displays from the comfort of your balcony. Or check the firework times (usually 8pm or 9pm) before booking dinner at Capa, and watch them from the rooftop terrace.
