This Bois de Boulogne mansion in Paris, former home of singing legend Edith Piaf, appears a positive steal when you consider what £4 million buys in London these days.
There will be plenty of potential buyers in the French capital tonight as supermodels and superstars including Gigi Hadid and Lady Gaga attend the Victoria’s Secret fashion show at the Grand Palais.
Piaf, whose hits included Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, died aged 47 in 1963. The house was her home at the height of her career.
The large reception has a 16ft-high ceiling, the dining room is in the round (below) and the kitchen backs on to a lovely private terrace. There are six bedrooms, a cinema room and a wine cellar in the basement.
The 1932 house in Paris, by French architect Emilio Terry is for sale for £3,862,495 through Chestertons International.
