Walt Disney’s Palm Springs getaway is on the market.

The midcentury modern house was built in 1962 for the movie mogul and his wife Lillian in the Indian Canyons area, as their retreat from Hollywood.

The entrepreneur and animator died in 1966 but the single-storey property continued to be owned by the Disney family until 2015 - and it is every bit as colourful as you might imagine.

Nicknamed “Walt’s Technicolor dream house”, the foyer and living room in the 2,443sq ft bungalow have a red colour theme, while the dining space is done out in black and purple.

The garden and pool can be viewed through glass walls.

Current owner Brandon Riker has paid homage to the four-bedroom property’s roots with lots of Disney memorabilia worked into the decor.

On the books of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate for £890,000, it is apparently already under offer.
