Snap up a home near the Assassin’s Creed film location in Ely

Live near the celeb-spotting location of Ely Cathedral which was most recently closed to the public while Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons were filming there.

BAFTA-winning actress Marion Cotillard and Golden Globe winner Jeremy Irons were recently spotted in Ely, Cambridgeshire, filming for new blockbuster Assassin’s Creed, to be released in December.

Ely Cathedral was closed to the public all day for filming, and it’s far from the first time the building has starred on the big screen. It was a location for The King’s Speech, Jupiter Ascending, The Other Boleyn Girl and The Other Man.

A beautiful four-bedroom cottage with lovely gardens, new to the market through Cheffins at £735,000, is just five minutes’ walk from the cathedral and locals have enjoyed all the celeb-spotting. It’s a good buy for commuters too, with services to London from the mainline rail station.
