An exhibition celebrating pop artist Gerald Laing has opened at The Fine Art Society.

From Brigitte Bardot to Anna Karina, Laing’s glamorous subjects are shown in all their glory in the Bond Street gallery.

Famed in the Sixties for his portraits of stars, Laing’s modern subjects included model Kate Moss, who was gifted a print by her friend Sadie Frost.

Actress and designer Sadie Frost attended the opening party of the exhibition in Mayfair on September 20.

£445 per week: the stone building in Inverness, which was once Laing’s studio, is a romantic hideaway with its own garden and fabulous views away to Ben Wyvis

"Gerald was a close personal friend of mine. He once invited me to pose for him at his Scottish residence, Kinkell Castle, but sadly he died before it happened. It's one of my greatest regrets," she said.

Laing bought 16th-century Kinkell Castle in the Scottish Highlands in the Seventies and his son, Farquhar, lives there now.

In the grounds of the fairytale home is a two-bedroom cottage which is available to rent.

The stone building in Inverness, which was once Laing’s studio, is a romantic hideaway with its own garden and fabulous views away to Ben Wyvis.

If the visit to the London exhibition inspires a stay, prices start at a reasonable £445 per week via Unique Cottages.
