Tom Cruise is struggling to sell his mansion in West Sussex.

The Mission: Impossible film franchise star bought listed, six-bedroom Rede Place in East Grinstead for £3 million in 2006 when newly married to third wife, US actress Katie Holmes.

They divorced after six years and the house went up for sale in October for £4.94 million, but so far there have been no takers.

The 11,331sq ft property, for sale with Savills, has celebrity trappings including walk-in wardrobes, a dance studio, swimming pool, tennis court and two-bedroom guest pavilion in the grounds.

Just under an hour’s commute to London by train, it offers the ideal balance of village and city life. But it seems finding a buyer is becoming another impossible mission. Perhaps a price drop is in order.
