Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his model wife Behati Prinsloo have splashed out close to £14 million on a home in the Holmby Hills estate in Los Angeles.

The French Regency-style property, by architect Caspar Ehmcke, befits one of California’s hottest couples — and also shows they know a bargain when they see one. The house is a steal when you consider the original asking price in September last year was £21.1 million.

The 9,221sq ft pile, built in 1966, has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a “breakfast solarium” with garden views and a two-storey guesthouse in the acre of grounds.

Moves Like Jagger singer Levine — who is also a judge on The Voice in America — and his wife have got their house in the Santa Monica Mountains on the market for £12.2 million.
