Kate Winslet's former Cornish bolthole is for sale

Kate Winslet’s former holiday home by the west Cornish coast is on the market for £400,000.

Hollywood A-lister Kate Winslet's former four-bedroom detached house in the pretty village of Angarrack is for sale, with an asking price of £400,000.

The home was designed by award-winning architect and artist Barry Briscoe, who built homes in Cornwall for more than 30 years, taking his inspiration from traditional Japanese tea houses.

A ten-minute drive from the sandy beaches of Godrevy and Gwithian, it is spread over three floors with a double-height open-plan kitchen at the heart of the property.

The master suite has a walk in wardrobe and the lower ground floor is designed as a self-contained studio apartment with its own kitchen area and bathroom.

Winslet is spending most of her time on set in New York at the moment, filming comedy drama Collateral Beauty with Will Smith, Keira Knightley and Helen Mirren.

However, if the actress misses her old British retreat, she can snap it up again for £400,000 with The Modern House.
