Judy Murray has put her Scottish home in the historic spa town of Bridge of Allan up for sale, just a few miles from Dunblane where she raised sons Jamie and Andy.

Called Khyber House, the secluded four double-bedroom property dates back to the 1930s and has sweeping Loch Lomond views towards the Trossachs National Park.

Behind an unusual façade the striking home offers a blend of contemporary and traditional Scottish design, following  extensive refurbishment.

The cosy living room has bow windows and a modern fireplace set into the wall. The L-shaped attic currently houses an office and a gym but could equally work well as a fifth bedroom or games room.

Proud mother and grandmother, 57-year-old Judy says: "The house is big enough to host the whole family on the rare occasions that Jamie and Andy are home, and its central location makes it easy to commute to the bigger cities and the airports."

In fact, the property is equidistant from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, with train journeys taking around an hour from nearby Bridge of Allan train station.

Khyber House is for sale for £825,000, through Savills.
