Luxury shoe queen Tamara Mellon is selling her New York apartment.

Londoner Mellon, who co-founded the Jimmy Choo footwear brand but went on to launch her own designer accessories and fashion label, fell in love with the flat’s similarities to her Notting Hill home.

Both properties used to be schools. The Manhattan penthouse has 3,000sq ft of outside space over three terraces, plus four bedrooms and a generous dressing room with floor-to-ceiling shoe racks.

Mellon first put the New York pad on the market for £23.1 million in 2014 but now it’s listed for sale at £18.3 million.

It’s as glamorous as you’d expect, with flamboyant designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard behind the style.
