Jennifer Lawrence sells home after £400k price drop:now the Hunger Games actress is said to have her sights set on a plush New York pad

With a budget of between nine and £13.5 million, the Hunger Games star is bound to find something in New York's upmarket Tribeca district.

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, named by Forbes as highest-paid actress in Hollywood for the second year running, has sold the Santa Monica home she bought for £662,000 in 2006 for £866,000.

The Hunger Games star bought the property just before she shot to fame — but now that little old house can go.

Twenty blocks from the beach, it is in one of California’s hotspots. Nevertheless, Lawrence had to drop the price. The 1,413sq ft, two-bedroom property was originally on the market for £1.27 million.

Outgrown: J-Law's Santa Monica home, sold this year for £866,000

She now lives in Beverly Hills, where she owns a five-bedroom house worth £6.02 million.

Rumour has it that the actress is also on the hunt for an apartment in New York’s upmarket Tribeca district and has a budget of £9 million to £13.5 million to play with.
