For sale: culinary queen Julia Child's Côte d’Azur cottage

Celebrity chef, Julia Child, who died in 2004 and was portrayed by Meryl Streep, in the 2009 movie Julie & Julia, adored her four-bedroom cottage in the hills above the Côte d’Azur.

Child and her husband, Paul, built the 1,614sq ft home and named it La Pitchoune — The Little One.

The kitchen is a smaller version of the one in their Massachusetts main home, which Child donated to the National Museum of American History in Washington DC.

The cottage is on the market for £576,000 through Sotheby’s International Realty in Cannes.
