Now that Cate Blanchett has bought a £3 million family home in Crowborough, East Sussex, the town is set to become a new celebrity hotspot.

So snap up a glamorous property nearby while you can. Millwood Designer Homes is launching two new country houses, Blueberry Barn and Rosehip House. Surrounded by Ashdown Forest’s 6,500 acres, they each have a guide price of £1.3 million.

Interested buyers will have to wait patiently to be neighbours with Blanchett, who is Oscar-nominated for Carol. Off-plan reservations are now being taken, but completion is not expected until autumn next year.

Former Doctor Who actor Tom Baker and reality TV star Kerry Katona also live nearby.
