As the late singer Cilla Black’s home of more than 40 years in Denham, Buckinghamshire goes on the market, another superstar’s house in the celebrity village remains unsold despite a price drop.

Sir Roger Moore, who now lives in Switzerland and France, has been trying since October to shift the eight-bedroom mansion in 11 acres, which he has owned since his James Bond days of the Seventies.

He has slashed the price from £5 million to £4.7 million, through Hamptons International.

Cilla, died aged 72 in August last year, and her three sons are selling the mansion in 20 acres where they grew up, for £4.3 million.

It has 10 bedrooms, an indoor pool, snooker room and stunning conservatory, and comes with a detached two-bedroom cottage, believed to have been the home of housekeeper Penny Walker.

With trains to Marylebone in 25 minutes from Denham station, each of these homes is an attractive commuter offering with star status.
