So you might have done a sleepover at the Natural History Museum, but have you ever slept inside a sports stadium? Well, now you can.
Airbnb's quirkiest new listing occupies a pole position inside the Rio OIympic Arena and is fit for a champion.
The gold medal themed room, which is located inside the Barra Oympic Park, is decked out with rubberised floors, a hanging rope ladder and lamp rings to (hopefully) inspire you to keep up your fitness levels during your stay.
Continuing with the medal theme, the room also comes with a gold bed, which will be set up high on a bleacher with a “safety net” hammock (jumping encouraged), and floor-to-ceiling windows with front row seats overlooking the centre of the arena.
The room is smack bang in the middle of the arena that will play host to artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics later this year, as well the Paralympics wheelchair basketball competition.
Airbnb are running a competition to spend a night in the room on April 20, which also includes a tour of the arena by Brazilian gymnast duo, the Hypolito sibling and seats to the final international rhythmic gymnastics qualifier event and awards ceremony.
This follows the rental company's floating house and garden stunt on the River Thames last year.
