Stones selling music online

The Rolling Stones today become the latest rock legends to make their music available for downloading from the internet.

Fans can now pay to download 18 albums, including the classics Exile On Main Street and Sticky Fingers.

They can also make their own "best of" albums by picking some of 250 available tracks to burn onto blank CDs.

The Stones have spent the past three years negotiating to ensure internet royalties will be similar to those for CD sales.

Fans will pay 99p for each track in the UK - 40p more than in the US.
