Knievel makes the leap into mobiles

Andrew Leach|Mail13 April 2012

MOTORCYCLE daredevil Evel Knievel will appear on mobile phone screens in a state-of-the-art game from Superscape Group to be announced tomorrow.

Shares in Superscape are likely to be boosted when it tells the Stock Exchange of the latest breakthrough.

The company has developed the industry standard for mobile gaming, thanks to its Swerve 3D graphics software which produces highly realistic images.

It is starting to roll out games and will use the software in a game featuring stunt legend Knievel, who jumped 13 double decker buses at Wembley Stadium in 1975 to be played on new generation handsets.

Superscape has signed a licensing and publishing deal with brand development company Global Wireless Entertainment.

Kevin Roberts, Superscape's chief executive, said: 'Given the worldwide interest in this personality and his spectacular exploits, I believe that the Evelution game will prove a great hit for gamers worldwide.'
