CAROL Vorderman has become the latest high-profile victim of the property slump after slashing the price of her Thameside penthouse.

The former Countdown presenter has had to knock £800,000 off the original £5.75million asking price. Despite the reduced £4.95million price, the highest bidder is reported to be offering £3.5million.

Vorderman who announced in July she would be leaving the show after being told her pay would be cut by 90 per cent, has been trying to sell the flat in the Albert Embankment block since May.

The 47-year-old is believed to have paid £2.98million for the 3,600 sq ft, four-bedroom property which overlooks the Houses of Parliament, in 2002.
