Now budget supermarket Lidl has teamed up with high-end German design studio Jochen Flacke to bring out a variety of sleek, multi-use storage units.
It's the perfect collaboration if you lust over designer pieces but can't afford the hefty price tag – and the ideal opportunity to create that all-important social media “shelfie”.
Launching in store on Sunday, September 29, the new range consists of single, double and triple shelving systems.
The open units start from £19.99 - a snip compared to the £900 fans can sometimes pay for a Jochen Flacke interior piece.
Available in two different finishes, of charcoal grey and fresh white, the single storage unit complete with a door is priced at £24.99. Create your own individual style statement by attaching them to the wall in odd-numbered groups.
The larger unit, a double system with doors and priced at £34.99, is ideal to use as a TV unit. Or turn it on its side to use as a compact sideboard if space is tight.
