If the tulip fields around Amsterdam make your heart sing, head for Clapham because you will be able to view 2,000 tulips in shades of predominantly apricot, orange, red and white, blooming among irises, wallflowers and tree peonies.
Architectural and garden designer Charles Rutherfoord opens his spectacular garden, complete with geodetic dome sheltering seedlings and succulents, under the National Garden Scheme on Sunday April 28, 2pm to 6pm, and on Wednesday 8 May, 6pm to 8pm.
Bulb beauties on show include flame and gold Fly Away, purple-streaked white Rem's Favourite and blackcurrant Recreado.
