The 17th annual Sculpture Exhibition at historic Borde Hill Gardens, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, which is renowned for its botanically important collection of trees and shrubs set within 200 acres, features figurative and abstract works in bronze, resin, stone, metalwork, stained glass and ceramics.

One highlight is a striking water installation called Aquapoise, by international sculptor Angela Conner, in the formal lily pond in the Italian garden.

The sculptures will be strategically placed throughout the garden with the Elizabethan house as a backdrop, with Sussex cream teas at the Little Ritz Vintage Tea Cafe in the garden as another draw, along with the Green Tree Gallery’s selection of affordable arts and crafts.

  • The exhibition runs until September 30
  • See www.bordehill.co.uk for more info
  • Admission is included in the standard entry price of £8.20 per adult, £5.50 per child
