Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have teased details of an upcoming collaborative single.

The track, WAP, will drop on Friday August 7, and will be Cardi B’s first new single as the lead artist since Press in 2019.

For Megan Thee Stallion, it’s the much-anticipated follow-up to her album Suga, which featured the smash hit Savage.

Both artists confirmed the release with posts on their respective social media pages. Check it out below.

It’s a welcome return to music for Texas rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who last month revealed the extent of her injuries after being shot in both her feet. It has not yet been confirmed who shot her.

“It was the just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny,” she said in an Instagram Live broadcast, adding that she had to “get surgery to get it taken out, get the bullets taken out.”

Elsewhere, DJ Khaled has appeared to confirm that he and Megan Thee Stallion have a new project in the pipeline. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the producer said: “I mean f*** it, this is the Zane Lowe show right? I'll be honest with you. You know, me and Megan, we got one. Yeah, we cooked something up.”
