This year's Big Feastival is a two-day extravaganza for the taste buds, set to the soundtrack of some of the UK's best known artists. Super chef Jamie Oliver and Blur bassist Alex James have teamed up for the second time to co-host the event and they're bringing plenty of their celebrity friends to the party. "I’m very excited to have such great foodies and musicians back on the farm. The whole weekend was so enjoyable last year and Jamie and I are working to make it even better for 2013," says Alex James.

The Artisan Food Market will be packed with the best produce sourced from the local area and beyond
There are two very different line ups at this unique festival. Providing the tunes will be BRIT-Award winning singer KT Tunstall, pop rock band The Feeling, Brighton hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks and the long-standing godfathers of UK house music, Basement Jaxx. Norman Jay and the Cuban Brothers will also bring their own unique dose of good times.

On the foodie front, some of the UK's hottest chefs will be sharing their tips and tricks in the Electrolux Big Kitchen alongside Jamie Oliver. Cooking demonstrations will feature the star of TV's Little Paris Kitchen, Rachel Khoo, Jamie's former mentor Gennaro Contaldo, Michelin-starred chef Tom Kitchin, culinary maestro Bruno Loubet, Supper Club sensation Sabrina Ghayour and talented foodie Gizzi Erskine.

For festivalgoers who want to be more hands on, the 'Electrolux Chefs' Secrets' area will give visitors the chance to pick up hints, tips and techniques from a Michelin star chef by taking part in interactive cookery sessions using the latest hi-tech kitchen gadgets and appliances.

Electrolux are hosting cooking demonstrations and classes throughout the two-day event
And then there's the food on offer. Bring your appetites and pace yourself, because it's not called The Big Feastival for nothing. All of Jamie Oliver's restaurant teams will be on hand, with Union Jacks bringing back nostalgic British classics, Jamie's Italian serving up rustic plates of food and barbecue steakhouse sensation Barbecoa will be stoking up the fire pits and sizzling grills.

'Street Food Alley' will showcase the best of the British street food scene, including The Bowler's grass-covered van The Lawn Ranger serving handmade meatballs and fish balls, alongside other well known outfits such as Bhangra Burgers, burrito specialists Margo and Rita and pillow-soft steamed buns by Yum Bun.

The Artisan Food Market will be packed with the best produce sourced from the local area and beyond, with farm shops and speciality shops selling cheeses, charcuterie, spices, fruit and veg, cakes and much more.

An action-packed family programme of activities include art and craft workshops, kids’ kitchen masterclasses, country fayre games, welly wanging, bubble shows, a vintage funfair and the return of haystack mountain.
