The 2014 GROW London Garden Fair

GROW London, a stylish three-day show for the modern urban gardener, starts on 20 June at the Lower Fairground Site on Hampstead Heath, in a marquee dressed by royal florist Shane Connolly.

Packed with leading plant nurseries, terrific outdoor furniture, hand-made tools and the best garden gear in town, GROW London is the project of Will Ramsay, founder of the Affordable Art Fair, and will showcase four pocket gardens including a Med-style courtyard designed by Clifton Nurseries.

Talks, workshops and events include a Gardeners' Questions session hosted by Homes & Property and chaired by me, with a panel of Matthew Wilson, Derry Watkins of Special Plants Nursery, and Tom Moggach, founder of City Leaf. Bring your thorniest plant problems and design queries to us at the main stage on Friday at 3.30pm.

Other speakers include award-winning designer Chris Beardshaw, cut-flower king Thomas Broom of Petersham Nurseries and London's bee master, Steve Benbow. Matthew Wilson will discuss design issues of the city garden, Seeds of Italy's Paolo Arrigo will head a sowing workshop and the Society of Garden Designers will offer free consultations.

There will be a free programme of fun children's activities on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June.
