Before the talks on Thursday 24 September, wonder round this fabulous shop in Ebury Street, Victoria, with a glass of wine and gather ideas from its tempting range of accessories and furniture all geared to bring style to a new indoor/outdoor life.
The first talk will be by Peter Marston, the firm’s design director, who has 25 years experience designing glass buildings world-wide. He has also written three books on garden rooms and lectured widely.
Peter will talk about the practical issues involved when opening up an existing building: planning permission, choosing a design, commissioning the work and costs. You will be able to see examples of how common problems were overcome.
Richard Miers, an award-winning garden designer will talk about using your garden to expend living space. He uses rich colours, the power of scent and strong contrasts to create surprise and impact. Richard worked on the gold-medal-winning Gardens Illustrated magazine Evolution garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2000 winning the coveted Best In Show award. Visit his website at www.richardmiers.com.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm and will end with a chance to have an individual consultation with M&L experts. Guests will also enjoy a 10 per cent discount on M&L home products on the evening.
