Some of the most unusual Christmas gift ideas can be found at London's open workshops and makers' fairs. Even the most demanding recipient will not complain about being given something handmade and exclusive.

At these shows, designer/makers often sell not just their newest pieces, but prototypes, ends of ranges and seconds, so it is easy to find something affordable as well as unique.

What's more, the venues are intriguing and the vendors knowledgeable (they make what they are selling after all). Most of these Christmas events are home to makers creating a wide variety of products, so we will help you find what you are looking for by directing you to the top locations with information on what they are best known for.
