Ornamental railing
Do you know of a specialist blacksmith who might be able to make a 5m-long ornamental iron railing to run alongside the path to our front door?
ET, Southampton.

The British Artist Blacksmith Association (020 8569 7386, baba.org.uk) has members in all parts of the country and most of them will be very happy to craft iron railings.

Two members with forges in your area are Peter Clutterbuck, based in Southsea (023 9275 3562, peteclutterbuck.co.uk) who takes on domestic projects including railings in iron, and Charles Normandale in the Meon Valley (01730 829300, charlesnormandale.com). Charles tells me his forge regularly undertakes small domestic installations such as the one you describe.
