Organic towels
I am looking for towels in deep magenta or brilliant turquoise, preferably in organic cotton, although most organic towels seem to come only in natural colours.

Companies such as Greenfibres, 0845 330 3440,, and The Organic Towel Company, 01253 701518,, sell organic cotton towels, but not in your shades. Christy, 0845 758 5252,, offers nine colours of Organic Fairtrade Towels, but the shades are muted. You have two options. One is to buy organic white towels, pre-wash them and dye them using Machine Wash Fabric Dye by Dylon, 01737 742020, Otherwise look for the colours you like among non-organic towels. You could try Supima towels in Pink and Turquoise (right) from J by Jasper Conran for Debenhams, 0844 561 6161, Elegance towels by Speltex, 01495 313200,, come in strong colours, as does the Odyssey range by Christy.
