Black and purr-fect
Prêt à Vivre
The boudoir look is back - black and lacy, if the latest window designs from Prêt à Vivre are anything to go by.
The curtain and blind specialist, which has just opened its first shop in London, is launching an Edwardian-style black lace voile roller blind (from £68) and a Richmond Black curtain (from £38 a metre), which offer privacy while still letting in the light.
Prêt à Vivre, 20 All Saints Road, W11 (0845 130 5161; www.pretavivre.com).
Taking the indoor/outdoor theme to a new limit, mail-order company Camouflage has recently launched a collection of bags, boxes (right) and carriers variously designed to look like scattered rose petals, a pile of ivy leaves, a willow basket or glamorous mock crocodile.
The cleverest designs of all are the outdoor chair, barbecue, parasol and patio covers, which really do make them disappear as well as protecting them throughout the winter. These products are recyclable and inexpensive but also sturdy and attractive. For more information, visit www.thecamouflagecompany.com.
