Jorginho to Juventus? Chelsea star's agent confirms Maurizio Sarri has NOT held talks with midfielder

Maurizio Sarri has not been in contact with his former player Jorginho amid talk of a proposed move to Juventus this summer, the Chelsea star's agent has revealed.

Jorginho has been heavily linked to a reunion with former Blues boss Sarri, with whom he worked so successfully while at Napoli before the 61-year-old brought him to Stamford Bridge two years ago.

The Brazilian has made 44 appearances this season - including a starting role in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal - scoring seven goals and providing two assists.

Jorginho's long-term future at the club remains in the dark, however, after falling down the pecking order at Chelsea. He has struggled for game-time following the restart, with his FA Cup start due by N'Golo Kante's fitness issues, while Billy Gilmour missed out altogether.

Both Lampard and Jorginho have insisted his focus remains on Chelsea, but the midfielder's agent has now left the door open for a move - though quashing talk that contact has already been made.

“Sarri has never called Jorginho personally to talk about Juventus,” agent Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“I know there’s talk in the papers, but we have never had direct contact with Sarri or even director of sport Fabio Paratici.

“When the directors Paratici and Marina Granovskaia find an agreement, if they find an agreement, then and only then can I talk about the situation.

“Everyone knows there is a very strong rapport between Sarri and Jorginho after five years working together, I’d be a hypocrite to deny that, but I also want to remind you that Jorginho has three years left on his Chelsea contract.”

Meanwhile, reports claim Chelsea would not stand in Jorginho's way should a sufficient offer comes in, with Lampard considering signing West Ham's Declan Rice.
