What you get:

Modern design applied to traditional tableware materials. The brand is best known for its metalwork and cutlery, although special commissions have encorporated other materials - including handmade ash wood shades for the new John Smedley knitwear store on Jermyn Street and iridescent coloured glass bowls.

Why we like it:

The David Mellor instagram account is, true to brand ethos, a charming mix of the traditional and new. Posts range from modern, specially commissioned projects with splashes of colour to traditional cutlery ranges. There are insightful 'behind-the-scenes' shots of the manufacturing processes, too.

Watch out for:

At this year's London Design Festival, the Sloane Street store will be showcasing new designs for food by Corin Mellor. New ranges include the Rosawood cheese knives, kitchen knives and stoneware pottery.
