How much do the Selling Sunset cast earn?

With their hugely glamorous lifestyles, it’d be easy to assume the cast are each on hefty salaries – but the team have revealed that, like most people working in real estate, they don’t actually earn a base salary, and instead only are paid on commission.

Mary Fitzgerald told the Express.co.uk: "I think the hardest thing in real estate is working for commission only.

"Spending months sometimes with a client and then they change their minds.

"The best part can also be when a client finds something they love immediately and I make a huge commission with very little effort.

"This unfortunately is not normally the case, but I have double-ended deals represented the buyer as well on my own listing, so this is the best scenario for an agent."

However, many of our realtors have various side hustles, having swapped to real estate following successful careers in modelling, acting or other areas of the entertainment industry.

Jason and Brett Oppenheim are the big earners, naturally

Unsurprisingly, twins Jason and Brett Oppenheim, who are in charge of the entire Oppenheim operation, are the wealthiest in the office, worth a reported $50 million (£39 million) following their careers as lawyers.

The wealthiest realtor, however, is Chrishell Stause, who is said to be worth between $3-5 million (around £3.5 million).

Having joined the company in the first season, Stause has proven herself to be a hugely successful realtor.

She also has had an impressive acting career, having previously starred on two popular American daytime soaps.

Christine Quinn is also worth a substantial amount

Selling Sunset’s almost cartoonish ‘villain’ Christine Quinn is thought to be the next highest earner, with The Sun reporting she is worth around $2 million (£1.6 million). However, her new businessman husband Christian Richard has a substantial fortune of his own, thought to be around $20 million (£16 million).

Davina Potratz, who has previously worked as a model and has worked as a realtor for 10 years, is also worth around $2 million (£1.6 million).

Meanwhile, Fitzgerald, former model Heather Rae Young, newcomer Amanza Smith and multi-tasking Maya Vander, are thought to be worth $1 million (£800,000) each.
