One-day designer sale
Pick up a design bargain at Craft Central's one-day sale, where designers either launching new products or getting rid of old stock are selling textiles, ceramics and glassware at up to half price.
Charlene Mullen's cushions (right), which usually cost from £40 to £200, are down by 25 per cent, Michelle Mason's purple felt cut-out table centrepiece is down 40 per cent from £75 and Snowden Flood's plates depicting London landmarks are down from £24.95 to £15.

Chesterfield that leaves you green
Upmarket design emporium Talisman opens a new store in Ebury Street, SW1, this week, selling a mix of vintage and new furniture, lighting and statuary with something for everyone, from a mid-19th century Danish copper crown (£5,400) and an 1870s Chesterfield sofa upholstered in aqua green (left, £9,000), to Seventies lucite lamps (£2,200) and modern furniture.

Three-day fair: Geffrye Museum
The Geffrye Museum is holding a three-day ceramic fair from Friday September 17, 2010, with a special preview on Thursday September 16, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Works (from £10) include Katrin Moye's dandelion cake stands (right, £50 small/£150 large).
