Stylish walls you can afford
Graham & Brown
American creative designer Amy Butler is the latest big name to have been signed up by British manufacturer Graham & Brown for a new range of wallpapers. Her designs are a pleasing mix of modern colour and bold, retro-look pattern that would be fabulous on single feature walls, or, since the paper costs an affordable £30 a roll, an entire room.
There are six patterns in six colours, including Temple Tulips in Ocean Green (pictured). From grahambrown.com, or call 0800 3288 452.
Something so French
The French furniture manufacturer that sells a mix of modern and provincial-style furniture has opened a new showroom in Finchley Road, specialising in Les Provinciales. That’s the rustic look to the rest of us.
The 6,000 sq ft architect-designed space has been divided into room sets to inspire you, with luxury items like the Estampe bed (left; from £2,198), or the Verdana sofa, from £4,913. Go to 421-425 Finchley Road, NW3 (020 7431 1411).
Historic colours to trust
Paint and tile company Fired Earth has teamed up with the National Trust to launch a collection of historic paint colours. There are 36 shades (including Belton Boudoir pictured), inspired by National Trust properties, from the White Garden at Sissinghurst to back-to-back terraces in Birmingham.
The water-based paints have top eco-credentials and come in hard-wearing emulsion (£31.50 for 2.5 litres) or acrylic eggshell (£15.50 for 750mls). Call 0845 366 0400 or visit firedearth.com.
