Jab Anstoetz
The German, family-owned fabric house that was formerly based in Wigmore Street, W1, and at the Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour, has recently relocated to Imperial Wharf in SW6, where it has now opened a huge flagship store.

An inspiring source for Londoners to come and look at the wide range of fabrics, there are now plenty to choose from, including new bright summer stripes, old-fashioned florals (right) and recycled fabrics from £37.50 a metre.

This artist’s huge watercolours of flowers (left) cost from £3,000. Now she is hoping to raise £50,000 for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres via a selling exhibition (signed prints can be bought for £300, unframed).

A new stand-alone Designers Guild home store opens after Easter in Marylebone High Street, W1.

There, in a bright new space, you can expect to find not only all the usual suspects, such as strongly graphic and coloured signature fabrics, paints and wallpaper, but also a selection of Trisha Guild’s specially sourced favourites, including Kate McBride’s sculptural vases, Richard Ginori ceramics and vintage Murano glass figurines (right).

Two years since launching The Natural Curtain Company, an online made-to-measure curtain and blinds service (left), David Adeane and Harry Cole have just opened its first London showroom in Fulham, SW6.

Customers will find a choice of more than 200 natural fabrics and have every little whim catered for, since the company prides itself on customer service and bespoke detail (curtains from £150 a pair). Until 21 May, customers will also get 10 per cent off all orders (excluding delivery).
