The road famous for its Sunday flower market is holding four festive shopping evenings on Wednesdays throughout this month, from 5pm to 9pm.
The evenings will go with a swing with live music, food and late-night trading. Participating shops include Milagros, which sells enchanting Mexican tin Trees of Life (£70, right), Beyond Fabrics for textiles old and new, and Ryantown, which stocks Rob Ryan’s pretty paper cutouts.

Between 6pm and 10pm, all the shops in Cheshire Street, many of which are quirky, individual businesses and include Mar Mar (whose gold-coloured tea caddy spoons, pictured right, are £19.50 each), Labour and Wait, Ella Doran and Shelf, will be offering drinks and nibbles as part of their festive shopping evenings.
