Tiger King’s Carole Baskin has said that “no amount of money” would convince her to sign up for a season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Rumours have been circulating that Baskin had been offered a healthy sum to participate in the next season of the series, but speaking to Mirror Online, the animal lover said she was not interested.

"I strive towards veganism so there is nothing so gross in the plant world, for me to be forced to eat on camera, as to make for entertaining television,” said Baskin.

"The show has been criticised by animal lovers for the consumption of live creatures, and no amount of money would make me want to be part of something that disrespects nature that way."

The Big Cat Rescue CEO recently found herself in a public feud with Cardi B after she criticised the rapper for using live wild animals in the music video for her new song WAP.

“My guess is that most people won't even see the Photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so lurid,” Baskin told Billboard.

“I was happy to see that it does appear to all be Photoshopped… That being said, you have to pose a wildcat in front of a green screen to get that image and that doesn't happen in the wild.”

Speaking to i-D, Cardi responded: “I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that.

“Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband.”

The next season of I’m a Celebrity will now take place at an abandoned castle in the Welsh countryside.
