Imperfect interiors

Book of the week
Creative Space: Urban Homes of Artists and Innovators by Francesca Gavin (Laurence King, £19.95). If you’re fed up of books that show nothing but perfect homes, this one will cheer you up.

All the people it features live in quirky places which never strive for perfection. Ryan McGuinness, a Manhattan-based artist, covers walls with tree murals (right). He, and many other artists, designers, curators and oddballs show and tell their stories in this interesting book.
