Offering a selection of popular blockbusters from Pieter Bruegel the Elder to Hans Memling, Anthony van Dyck and Peter Paul Rubens, this intensely observed, richly coloured figurative painting is as exhilarating to look at now as ever.
Country landscapes and thronging scenes of life and war feature in the exhibition alongside wonderful portraits.
