On show will be 51 stunning Dutch and Flemish paintings from the 15th to 17th centuries - all taken from the Royal Collection.

Offering a selection of popular blockbusters from Pieter Bruegel the Elder to Hans Memling, Anthony van Dyck and Peter Paul Rubens, this intensely observed, richly coloured figurative painting is as exhilarating to look at now as ever.

Country landscapes and thronging scenes of life and war feature in the exhibition alongside wonderful portraits.

The evening, 3 December 2008
Arrive at 5.45pm (to clear palace security for 6pm start). There will be a 30-minute introductory talk by Jennifer Scott, co-curator of the exhibition, in the Redgrave Room of the Queen’s Gallery.

Homes & Property readers will then enjoy a special private view of the exhibition. This will be followed by a chance to see highlights from Treasures from the Royal Collection, a wonderful mixture of pictures and objets d’art.
