This Bank Holiday Monday (4 May 2009) you will be able to stroll around ten top-notch London gardens, all designed by professionals, including the three winners of our RHS and DK Dream Garden makeover competition.
The gardens will be on show from noon to 4pm and you can find them all by following the Trail map (right).
The Great Ormond Street hospital’s memorial garden, usually only for staff, and designed by Andy Sturgeon, will be a highlight, as will Charlotte Rowe’s sleek outdoor space in Brook Green complete with fireplace, Emma Plunket’s contemporary family garden in Wimbledon and Charles Rutherfoord’s secret tulip-filled patch, centred with giant ornamental bull.
Each garden is stuffed with design and planting ideas to copy and inspire, so take a camera, notebook and comfortable walking shoes. You are in for a treat - or possibly quite a few of them. Visit www.dk.com/gardentrail.
