Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June

More than 200 London gardens, parks and open spaces will be flinging open their gates and organising events and activities for Open Garden Squares Weekend.

You could visit Ham House and Garden, get planting ideas from the Fulham Palace Meadows Allotments, enjoy the roses at Eccleston Square which is normally closed to the public, or take a tour around the fabulous edible roof garden at Coutts, in the city.

You could also listen to a jazz band at Lexham Gardens in Kensington, learn how to make soap medieval-style at the Museum of the Order of St John in Farringdon, press flowers at The City Centre’s garden in Cheapside or take the kids pond-dipping at Camley Street Natural Park in Kings Cross.

For a complete listing of participating gardens, opening times and events, see www.opensquares.org.
