Saturday 6 February until Sunday 6 March
Enjoy dazzling colour from the stunning flora of Brazil that blooms during Carnival season, at Kew's 21st orchid festival within the steamy Princess of Wales Conservatory.
For just over four weeks, the glasshouse will display vibrant orchids and exotic plants in cascading curtains, wide columns and a tropical flowering tunnel.
In the centre of the pond, five figures, extravagantly decorated in Brazilian carnival dancer style, will create a showcase for different orchid varieties from phalaenopsis to miltonias.
- Join the carnival with samba music, botanical cocktails and inspiring talks at a series of after-hours 'Lates' evenings, 6-9.30pm, on Thursdays 11, 18 and 25 February as well as 3 March
- Entrance free with general ticket
