Gardening event: Christmas at Kew Gardens

Tickets are now on sale for the seasonal illuminations at Kew Gardens, which lights up for winter from November 23 to January 2.

Visit a botanical wonderland, with brightly-coloured laser beams dancing over water, a tunnel of lights, a scented fire garden and fairy-tale avenues of flowers.

Santa and his elves await in the North Pole village, plus there will be vintage fair rides, Christmas gifts and traditional festive fair.

The trail opens at 5pm and closes at 10pm, with visits timed at 30-minute intervals from 5pm until 8pm, with the last visit starting at 8.15pm.
