Sunday 17 April at The Roof Gardens in Kensington

Listen to Professor Nigel Dunnet, the leading authority on city plants' role in climate change and sustainability, talk about his approach to designing with plants at Kensington's unique The Roof Gardens, high above the traffic.

You can also ask Professor Dunnet questions about his recent projects that include the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the replanting of the roof gardens at The Barbican Centre.

The Roof Gardens' Gardening Club invites you to join them from 9am to 12pm on Sunday April 17, and afterwards, there will be a tour of the three themed gardens, where flamingoes wander among the flowers: English Woodland, Tudor and Spanish gardens.

Tickets are £10 for members and £15 for non-members, either at the door or by visiting ticketweb.co.uk/event/224215.

All ticket proceeds go to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
