SAG Award nominations 2020: Game of Thrones, Fleabag and The Crown lead nods

In the film categories, Marriage Story, Joker and Us have are also up for awards

British favourites The Crown and Fleabag lead the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations, while the film shortlists include Netflix's Marriage Story and Jordan Peele's horror flick Us.

The 26th annual SAG Awards will take place in January and Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera and Black Panther actress Danai Gurira revealed the nominees in a ceremony at West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been nominated for best actress in a comedy series for Fleabag, while her co-star Andrew Scott was nominated for the equivalent male category.

BBC Three hit Fleabag has also been nominated for the best ensemble in a comedy series.

Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter have been nominated for the best actress in a drama series prize for The Crown, while Jodie Comer has been nominated in the same category for Killing Eve.

Jared Harris and Emily Watson have been nominated for their performances in Chernobyl.

Moving to the film categories, Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Driver, Taron Egerton and Joaquin Phoenix have all been nominated for the male actor in a leading role prize.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Renee Zellweger are all nominated for female actor in a leading role.

The best ensemble nominees are Bombshell, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Once Upon A time and Parasite.
