Bond 25 filming: New photos show car flipped onto its roof in dramatic chase scene

New photos from the set of Bond 25 capture the moment a Range Rover flies through the air in thrilling car chase.

Production for the latest instalment in the iconic spy franchise has moved to the Ardverikie Estate in Inverness, Scotland, where the crew filmed the nail-biting scenes over the weekend.

The images show the grey 4x4 somersault through the air before crashing off the country road onto a rock face, apparently pursued by a yellow vehicle.

Onlookers told The Sun that the dramatic scenes were filmed from the air using “a drone and a helicopter.”

“It was an amazing thing to see,” an onlooker told the publication. “You could just hear the motors then suddenly a massive crash.

“It sounded like a car being flattened at the scrap yard. They could only do the stunt once as the car was completely wrecked.”

007 star Daniel Craig was reportedly not present while the scene was filmed.

Filming for the 25th Bond film, which is using the working title Shatterhand, has so far taken place on location in Jamaica, Norway and Italy, and at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

Last month, it was confirmed that a crew member was injured by an explosion during production at Pinewood.

“During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage,” a message from the official 007 Twitter account read.

“There were no injuries on set, however one crew member outside the stage has sustained a minor injury.”

The incident came weeks after Craig was forced to spend two weeks recovering from an ankle injury sustained while filming.

“Daniel Craig will be undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica,” the film’s Twitter account confirmed.

“Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks post-surgery.”

Despite Craig’s injury, the film is still slated for release in April 2020.

The 25th film, which is directed by Cary Fukunaga, will be Craig’s fifth outing as the super spy.

Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Jeffrey Wright are also set to return to the series, while Rami Malek is joining the cast as a Bond villain.
