During September the Manor will be celebrating Heritage Open Day, as well as hosting Rothschild Wine Day and wine tasting events.
Rothschild Wine Day
Friday 11 September
The Rothschild Wine Day at the Manor - with "tutored tastings" of eight wines from the celebrated cellars, costs £90. To book, call 01296 653226.
Heritage Open Day
Saturday 12 September
The Manor will be celebrating a "heritage open day" with the local emergency services. Admission is free, so climb aboard a fire engine, inspect an ambulance, and see some of the latest police vehicles.
Introduction to Wine Tasting
Saturday 19 September
An "introduction to wine tasting" morning includes coffee and all wines for £40, or £60 to include a set three-course lunch. This event must be booked in advance by calling 01296 653226.
Drop into the shop
Take a moment to visit the shop, and you will find ten new treasures a little different from the normal run of mugs and tea towels.They have been designed by postgraduate students at the Royal College of Art, and can also be bought online.
They include a paper-thin hand made porcelain "votive" by Glen Wild, which reveals a delicate damask pattern when lit (£17.50). Dionea Rocha Watt has created a fanciful baroque door wedge in laser-cut birch wood (£25). Sterling silver brooches by Nathalie Perneel are inspired by the skyline of the Manor itself (£45).
