City of London Dolls House Festival, February 2, 11am-5.30pm at The Tower Hotel, St Katharine’s Way, E1 (020 7812 9892)
Discover the work of more than 100 of the best craftspeople in the world who specialise in everything miniature, and grab the chance to buy some of their work, too. Pocket money prices from 50p to about £2 will buy tiny foodstuffs and perfect little kitchen utensils. Or, if you still have the cash after Christmas, pay about £400 for a basic dolls house kit, or around £2,800 for an empty-assembled grand period house. A fully fitted house complete with furnishings would cost up to £10,000. Children can join in the workshops.
Tickets are available in advance at £8 for adults and £4 for children, with a family ticket costing £25. On the day, admission is from £3 on the door after 2pm.
