Pints of plain are set to be flying out at Camden Market this weekend, as a St Patrick’s Day festival is offering bottomless Guinness for £25.

Across this weekend, March 16 and 17, the Stables in Camden Market is hosting a festival celebrating the Irish patron saint, which will run from 2—9pm on both days. Tickets start at £10, but for £25, plus a booking fee, an hour of bottomless Guinness is offered.

The festival is being held by the organisers behind Camden Oktoberfest, who told the Standard that they would be serving half pints for the hour — meaning keen drinkers will need to be back and forth to the bar.

Besides the beer, the festival is promising live performances by Irish bands, award-winning Irish dancers, and a number of Irish-themed, interactive games.

In the press fluff, organisers say attendees will be “free to eat, drink, dance, and be as merry as a leprechaun in a field full of clovers”, adding that “this is a knees-up you will never forget (or not remember, one of the two).”

Elsewhere, Camden Market itself is offering an array of other things to do. Things begin on Friday, with an Irish story-telling session at the 3 Locks Brewery, while there’s also a six-course Irish tasting menu offered at the Farrier that evening, from former Six By Nico chef Jake Perry.

Across the weekend, other highlights in NW1 will include a performance from North London's McGahan Lees Dance Academy (2pm, Saturday), a masterclass in playing the bodhrán (a traditional Irish drum) from Ruairi Glasheen (3pm, Saturday), and an evening of Celtic Cabaret at the Camden’s People’s Theatre (7.30pm, Saturday). On Sunday, the biggest draw is likely to be the St Patrick’s Day parade, which will travel from Hawley Wharf's Open Space to Camden Market's North Yard from 1.30pm, as a drummers’ troupe, and a number of fiddlers and accordion players will play traditional music, accompanied by Irish dancers.
