Lewis Capaldi has been announced as the latest headliner of this year's Kew the Music.

The singer-songwriter will top the bill at the summer festival on Wednesday July 10, with Nina Nesbitt and Dusky Grey also on the bill.

Capaldi replaces Jess Glynne at the event, after the singer cancelled all her shows until mid-July due to a haemorrhaged vocal cord.

Tickets for the show go on sale at noon today, and can be bought here.

Capaldi joins the likes of Beverly Knight, Billy Ocean, Jools Holland, Garbage and Rick Astley at the festival, which runs from July 9-14.

The singer songwriter performed at Glastonbury this weekend, taking a swipe at Noel Gallagher during his set on the Other Stage.

Capaldi wore a T-shirt with Gallagher’s face on it, after the former Oasis member criticised his music and told him to "find some joy" in his songs.

It’s the latest highlight in what’s been a huge year for Capaldi. The singer reached number one in the UK albums chart with his debut Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, and sold out his UK arena tour for 2020 in just 10 minutes.
